X-Academy Education was founded in April 2016 and is the brain child of Jacqui Richards and Caroline Coles. Between them, they agreed that the quality of learning at X-Academy should be available to all children – and what better place to learn than in your own school!
Local schools have been excited by our highly experienced team of teachers, and have felt safe leaving their pupils with dedicated staff, with detailed lessons plans, and lots of enthusiasm.
X- Academy’s vast experience means that we can be flexible and support schools in a variety of ways.
X-Academy Education can offer workshops and lessons in all aspects of the Performing Arts, Dance, Drama, Music and Singing. Sessions can be tailored to a school’s topics and themes or can devised by our experienced team.
X-Academy Education can provide one off themed workshops for any age group, to include a range of disciplines or focus on key areas of Performing Arts.
Our Team have worked to develop a learning programme to support children and help improve Gross and Fine Motor Skills. We can also offer a termly assessment and report to check the progress of these pupils.
X-Academy Staff are able to provide 45minute to 1hour sessions in the following disciplines, or indeed a mixture of all them all.
- Dance – to include Modern and Contemporary Ballet
- Drama – working on dramatic technique and towards a performance.
- Musical Theatre – learning to sing dance and act all at the same time!
- Singing – learning practical techniques and how to perform
- Street Dance – learn to “bust moves” to popular up beat music.
X-Academy has two excellent Singing Teachers who are available to provide 30 minute private or group singing lessons to add to any existing schedule of music lessons.
X-Academy Education host 4 – 6 workshops each year for teachers to give them support in teaching Dance and Performing Arts in their own schools. These clinics are held at South Cheshire College and are available throughout the school year and some school holidays.
We are also available to deliver clinics within a school on inset days, and can work towards specific themes to be incorporated into our curriculum.
X-Academy can help produce or choreograph pieces for school shows, performed in school and at alternate venues. We can work with existing plans, come in a short notice to help with last minute problems or devise the whole piece.
At the end of each term all schools are invited to take part in an end of term show to be performed at South Cheshire College, giving everyone a shared goal to work towards and an opportunity to perform to an audience of friend and family in a working theatre.
