Welcome to X Academy

Principal Jacqui Richards has taught in Crewe and Nantwich for over 25 years and also has freelance experience throughout the UK and abroad.

Pupils are taught by a team of teachers and visiting dancers, choreographers and voice coaches all qualified and working on the school thos, aiming to develop performers who are confident, able and have a passion for the arts.

Ex pupils are employed within the profession, current pupils represent the school in community events, charity performances, local professional shows, and dance festivals. Pupils have had the pleasure of working alongside professionals such as Wayne Sleep, Letitia Dean, June Brown, John Altman (Eastenders), Peter Duncan (Blue Peter), Vicky Gates (Brookside, The Bill) and many others. Pupils have also worked with the English Youth Ballet and Urdang, Covent Garden.

Examination standards are excellent and professional exams are taken upto advanced 2 levels with the ISTD. Teaching preparation and advice is available to incorporate FDI and CDE qualifications as required for all teachers from September 2006.

Our new venue provides a full time base for the school creating a full range of activities in the area. Our focus is on teaching activities that the arts and culture based developing an understanding and enjoyment in the arts world.
